Introducing HEROIC Academy
Have you been left feeling like you’re not getting enough HEROIC action lately? Us too, which is whywe are incredibly excited to announce our new CS2 academy roster!
In an effort to help continue fostering up-and-coming talents (and survive the next round of awful Major sticker sales), HEROIC has decided to expand our search for the next tN1R! And if you haven’t seen the leaks yet, it’s time for the big reveal:
The HEROIC Academy Roster for 2025:
[DK] IGL: Dengzoe - Bertil Dengsø Vest Hansen
[DK] Awper: scr0b - Rasmus Poulsen
[DK] Rifler: anber - Andreas Brandt
[UA] Rifler: St0m4k - Vladyslav Lykhoshva
[RO] Anchor: fnl - David Mușuroiu
[FI] Coach: doto - Joonas Forss
[DK] Team Manager: Hani - Nicolai Hansen
A warm welcome is in order, for our new core of Andreas “anber” Brandt, Bertil “Dengzoe” Dengsø Vest Hansen, and Rasmus “scr0b” Poulsen, helping us get back in touch with our Danish roots! This trio was busy impressing our scouts under XI Gaming and Sashi Academy in their regional scene and branching out more recently, with strong finishes in ESEA Advanced and the PGL Astana Qualifiers. With the upper-echelons of the Danish scene seemingly in limbo since we left, it seems only fitting that we get to work reopening the talent pipeline. We also managed to speak to Dengzoe about what this new project means to him:
"Firstly, I want to say I'm super proud to be representing HEROIC. Joining an academy team as the IGL for a top organization has been a goal of mine for a long time, so I'm super excited about this opportunity. I think we put together a really talented group of people, and I'm looking forward to showing what we are capable of in the coming season.
Next up, we’re joined by young pug-star Vladyslav “St0m4k” Lykhoshva! This young Ukrainian prospect has been on an incredible grind, hovering around the top 10 highest Faceit ELO players in Europe. St0m4k boasts an aggressive playstyle with an impressive fragging output in both his pugs and officials, a perfect base for doto to begin shaping with.
Rounding out the roster is our most experienced piece of the puzzle, David “fnl” Mușuroiu! fnl is no stranger to academy projects, starting his playing career on Nexus Academy back in 2022, graduating to the renowned NAVI Junior and more recently, winning HEROIC’s own Path to the Pros tournament under Monte Gen! We look forward to seeing him knuckle down…or should we say, anchor down, into his role of steadfast site defender!
Finally, continuing in our tradition of finding Finland’s finest, we’ve signed coach Joonas “doto” Forss. Sporting 10 years of professional CS under his belt, doto is a veteran of the scene with the perfect level of experience to get our young players into shape for the next level of play. With a commendation from sAw himself, we know he’s just what our guys need! He also had this to say about his aspirations for the team:
"I am super excited to start working with HEROIC. The players we have scouted have great potential and already work well together. The goal for the team right now is to build a strong foundation and a deep playbook. My expectations for this project are high and we are hoping to reach top 50 by the end of the year.
You'll be able to catch the HEROIC Academy playing their first official on HEROIC’s Twitch channel in the next season of ESEA Advanced!
