HEROIC in Austin - One Last Rodeo

Our one last rodeo with sAw & SunPayus of back-to-back Texan tournaments is now halfway done with the conclusion of IEM Dallas. A vital opening win in Texas over Aurora and cutting short s1mple’s FaZe debut nudged HEROIC to 14th in the VRS world rankings, securing us spots at the Esports World Cup and Stage 1 of IEM Cologne (with a spicy reaction from the CS:GOAT). Throw in some incredibly close games vs Falcons (before m0NESY spoiled the fun) and our Aurora rematch and we’re left with some impressive foundations coming into the true last dance…

Starting in Stage 1, HEROIC will now need to qualify through 3 Swiss brackets to make the playoffs, starting with a rematch against our Mongolian friends, Chinggis Warriors. And at least for the first stage, unlike some washed Awpers, it seems like the Pick’Ems pundits are pretty confident in us going 3-0! Will HEROIC now go 3-1 just to mess with your diamond coin? Probably. But that’s all part of the fun of being a HEROIC fan!

But on a serious note, with our recent high-profile wins, there’s a real shot that this last dance-team can push for top 8, and a strong showing at the major could also lock in an invite to ESL Pro League S22 and a direct qualification to IEM Cologne Stage 2 - also Vitality may be #1 in the world and on a 30 LAN win streak, but they haven’t beaten us yet… A HEROIC fan can dream, ok?
