The highest VRS ranked teams, and de facto favourites to win, coming into the event are paiN, NIP & Wildcard. Other teams, such as K27 and Phantom, had the additional task of qualifying through the closed qualifiers.

Our first match will be against 3DMAX, one of the last single-nation teams standing, who recently picked up an AWPer as a rifler, the reverse yxngstxr you could say. Their debut at XSE Pro League Guangzhou didn't go too well, they failed to make it past the group stage after losing three matches in a row to be eliminated. We will be aiming to make it four losses in a row for the French side tommorow!
HEROIC come into the match as favourites, being given odds of 1.52 by Razed to win our opener.
