An open qualifier on LAN? What's the deal with that

Yes, you read that right. EWC are hosting a LAN Open Qualifier, featuring four qualification spots to the $2,000,000 main event. This is one of the biggest open qualifiers in CS2 history, which is no surprise considering EWC26 is the landmark event in the second Counter-Strike season of 2026, only falling short to the Major in stature and importance. Qualification will provide a big test for our LAN winning roster.

BIG, BCG, Fnatic, 100 Thieves, OG, NRG, HOTU and Liquid are just a handful of the strong squads doing battle with us at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. A list stacked with worthy challengers for us to dismantle on the way to qualification! Due to the qualifier being on LAN, and the high ranking of many participants, it's very likely to reward a healthy amount of VRS points, which would be key to our continued climb up the rankings.

The EWC26 CS2 Open Qualifier begins on Friday 7th August. We will keep you up to date with all the action as we run through the competition, with aims of claiming a seat at the $2,000,000 main event.
