From a Danish Counter-Strike project to a global esports organisation, HEROIC celebrates 10 years of competition, trophies and, most importantly, shit talking NIP.
From a Danish Counter-Strike project to a global esports organisation, HEROIC celebrates 10 years of competition, trophies and, most importantly, shit talking NIP.
Ten years ago, five Danish Counter-Strike players formed the first lineup in HEROIC history:
Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander
Michael “Friis” Jørgensen
Valdemar “valde” Vangså
Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer
Andreas “MODDII” Fridh
It didn’t take long for the team to secure their first trophy, beating Dignitas in the Power-LAN 2016 Grand Final. The Counter-Strike squad has undergone many changes but throughout the chaos of repeated rostermania’s, we’ve been able to win 24 trophies, and reach a Major Grand Final - one we really should have won 🙁
We’ve had Major champions, in the form of René "TeSeS" Madsen and Adam "friberg" Friberg, as well as HLTV Award winners, such as Guy "NertZ" Iluz for Rookie of the Year in 2023, and Casper "cadiaN" Møller for Highlight of the Year in 2021. More than 40 CS players have worn the HEROIC jersey since 2016. Through all the changes, we’ve never been short of talent.

More than Counter-Strike
Contrary to popular belief, HEROIC has been more than just a Counter-Strike org over the years. We’ve fielded teams in Dota 2, Fortnite, VALORANT, PUBG, PUBG Mobile, Rainbow Six Siege, Sim Racing and Rocket League.
We made history in Dota 2, fielding the first South American team to win a Tier 1 LAN, in the form of PGL Wallachia Season 2 in 2024. Success was found in other games too, most notably in Rainbow Six Siege through the European League 2022. These also happen to be two of the biggest trophies in our office!
HEROIC Admin
It would be unjustified to speak about a decade of HEROIC without mentioning our social media. As our teams have changed, our attitude has remained the same. No matter if we’re in the Major, or winning DracuLan, we’re proud to always be in the conversation… even if it’s other teams blocking us after tournament elimination.
Creating the persona of an extremely professional esports org isn’t just built out from social media, but the entire HEROIC staff that have served us over the last ten years. They’ve created award winning announcement videos, protected our Google Docs (thanks HUNDEN) and released reactive campaigns, such as “no refunds”; a merch line G2 & Falcons love!
The fandom fuels the heart of HEROIC, both within our CS team and social media content. These fans have accumulated over the past decade, accumulating to 1.3 million followers across all our channels. Whether you followed us for our memes, the cadiaN 1v4, or to roast the release of our kfc jersey, we’re grateful to each and every one of you.

The Next Ten Years
The future at HEROIC is exciting. The return of a real AWPer and signing of Brollan sparked fresh life into the squad, seeing our new lineup win the first tournament they played of the season.
We’ll continue to win trophies, go viral, and we might even enter another esports title… let’s focus on securing our place in Singapore first.
We’re excited for what the future holds and are grateful for all the fans who have grown with us over the past decade. Keep bringing the heart, heat and thunder. Here’s to another ten years of HEROIC.
