New Year, New HEROIC CS2 – Roster Changes for 2026
2026 is bringing about changes for HEROIC CS2. With last year being a rollercoaster ride for the squad, we’ve looked to improve and stabilise the team come the start of the new season and most importantly, get back to the Major.
Our first change to the CS team was to bring in Christoffer ‘Chr1zN’ Storgaard as our IGL. This isn’t the first time that the young captain has played under the HEROIC banner either. We’re excited to welcome him back two years after his stand-in stint during the Roobet Cup and Thunderpick World Championship 2023, where he has since dropped the AWP but instead reunites with his former coach in TOBIZ.
Our second change to the team is bringing in Tim ‘susp’ Ångström (aka the better twin) to join our rifling core. Despite his Swedish nationality, he’s spent the last two years saving North American CS with a highlight being becoming an instrumental part of the Wildcard roster that made stage 2 of the Shanghai Major. We are, however, happy we’ve been able to free him from his NA shackles and bring him back to EU where teams like fnatic make questionable roster decisions without consulting AI.
And so far, the pair have both impressed at BLAST Bounty 2026. Chr1zN with his captaincy in guiding an AWPer-less HEROIC to the playoffs, throwing in an impressive 1v4 clutch en route. susp with his consistency, and a standout performance on the CT-side of Mirage against paiN being an early highlight.
Our shared goal is ‘to get HEROIC back at the top’ as Chr1zN aptly puts it, and we’re looking forward to seeing his progression with the team to get there.
