Changing Lanes – HEROIC Dota 2’s 2026 Roster Moves
2025 was a milestone year for HEROIC Dota 2. Our roster finished 5th at The International, equalling the highest placement ever achieved by a Latin American team. While this result marked a historic achievement for us as an organization, we also felt it was the right moment to make meaningful changes in order to keep pushing forward and competing at the very top.
Following The International, we decided to continue the season without 4nalog. As part of this new direction, Wisper moved to the midlane as a trial, while Davai Lama returned to the offlane. The adjustment delivered immediate results, as we secured our second international title at FISSURE Universe: Episode 7. However, despite a strong start, consistency remained a challenge, leading us to reassess our approach heading into 2026.
One of the first decisions we made was not to continue our journey with Scofield. In his place, we welcomed Thiago “Thiolicor” Cordeiro as our new soft support. Thiolicor has competed professionally for a decade, and at the highest level in Europe, including a stint with Team Secret, and has spent the past few years building his career in the European scene. He has consistently ranked at the top of the European leaderboard, showcasing both his individual skill and long-term dedication. His experience, professionalism, and consistency add a crucial layer of stability to our roster, while also giving our Brazilian fans another player to cheer for.
Another important change involving Davai Lama followed. After an unsuccessful qualification attempt for a DreamLeague season, with further qualifiers ahead as well as an upcoming BLAST tournament, we believed a roster adjustment was necessary to remain competitive in the short and long term.
As a result of this decision, Wisper returns to his natural role in the offlane, where he has consistently delivered his strongest performances. At the same time, we are proud to welcome Santiago “TaiLung” Olivos Agüero Gustavo as our new midlaner. One of the most promising young talents in the LATAM scene.
TaiLung reached 11k MMR at just 14 years old and later broke into the top 100 in Europe despite playing on 180 ping. Now 16, he joins HEROIC as part of our long-term vision as we begin the 2026 season.
