Heroic has today sold our beloved IGL, Benjamin “blameF” Bremer. The IGL will carry on his journey across the Atlantic, in a Complexity jersey. Coming to Heroic earlier this year from Epsilon, he was fundamental in the successes the team accomplished this year, rising to 12th in the world ranking. He will be deeply missed.
Benjamin himself says:“A big thanks to Heroic for believing in me and taking a chance on me earlier this year. They have showed nothing but respect and support every step of the way, and I am happy to have had this experience. The Heroic management have constantly reminded me how much faith and belief they have in me, and that has been a crucial part of my development to who I am today.
A big thanks to every player and coach I have been playing with under heroic, each of them have taught me a lot and I truly appreciate every one of them.”
The torch has now been passed:
Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer will from now on lead the Heroic players. His experience as an IGL is remarkable, and the team is very excited to continue their journey under his leadership.
Martin “stavn” Lund says:“Im sad to see Benja go, I really enjoyed having him as an IGL. He is also a very good friend and teammate. However, its’ a big opportunity for him, and I respect his decision. Snappi has been like the co-IGL since he joined the team, offering a lot of great ideas and strats, so I think changing to him 100% will be very smooth. Im excited to start this season!”
CEO Erik Askered says:“Selling Benjamin was a hard decision, but we try and always be fair with our players wishes and ensure they get the absolute best future. A team like Complexity have an impeccable track record and probably some of the best tools in the industry when it comes to creating a great environment for young players in the North America. We look forward to facing them in the future, and wish both Benjamin and Complexity the best of luck.”
